WHERE ARE YOU STARTING?
Tell us what has changed and whether you already have blood results. We explain the information and tests needed before considering suitable next steps.
Enquire about an assessmentWe welcome enquiries from people using another provider. Your existing prescriptions, treatment history and monitoring need review before we can agree whether to take over your treatment.
Ask about transferringAlready an Atlas House patient? Use your existing account to message the team. A transfer request does not guarantee prescribing or continuation of a particular regimen.
BLOOD TESTS, EXPLAINED
Blood tests are arranged with an external testing provider. Before buying a test, ask us to confirm which markers and sample type are needed for your assessment or review.
We accept reports from other providers for clinical review. Your clinician checks whether they are suitable and current; repeat or additional testing may still be needed.
Existing patient? Open your accountKeep the full laboratory report, including the sample date, units and reference ranges. We will explain how to share it securely through your patient account.
We confirm the tests and preparation needed. You arrange and pay the external provider separately, then share your results for review. A testing fee does not include Atlas House treatment and does not guarantee a prescription.
We consider the results alongside your symptoms and medical history, then explain suitable next steps, any further checks and the costs of an agreed treatment plan.
LOOK AT THE WHOLE PICTURE
A lower sex drive, erection difficulties, tiredness or changes in mood can have many causes. These symptoms alone do not establish testosterone deficiency, and testosterone levels do not tell the whole story.
We look at your symptoms alongside your medical history, current medicines, sleep, general health and blood results. Depending on your circumstances, we may recommend an examination, further investigations or specialist referral.
An assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis or prescription.
IF TREATMENT IS APPROPRIATE
TRT is a prescription-only treatment that may be considered when testosterone deficiency has been confirmed and treatment is clinically appropriate. It is one possible outcome of assessment; another approach or specialist input may be more suitable.
Response varies. Symptoms with another cause may not improve with TRT. Your clinician will discuss the potential benefits, risks and alternatives before you decide.
TRT requires regular clinical review and blood tests. Monitoring considers symptoms, testosterone levels and safety checks, including blood count and prostate-related assessment where appropriate.
Possible side effects include acne, fluid retention and a raised red blood cell count. The risks and monitoring needed depend on your circumstances and the treatment prescribed.
TRT can reduce sperm production and affect fertility. Tell your clinician if you are trying for a family or may want children in the future before starting treatment.
